Interactive TEACH Trouble-shooting
This video summarises the steps set out below.
If you are having issues with accessing your interactive TEACH content please can you follow the following steps:
1. Check you are launching it correctly
You should click on the TEACH (e.g. in 🔄 Teaching Cycle 1 > 📁 Unit 1) then click on 'Start Attempt 1'.
If the content is late or overdue, you can still complete it.
If any content says Content Isn't Available this means that you have to do something else before you can access it. If you hover over Content Isn't Available then you are told what you need to do. In the screenshot, you will see that the Induction must be completed (with 40 points or more) before the content can be accessed.
2. Allow Pop-Ups
Instructions for doing so can be found below for your browser:
Microsoft Edge (6th question from top)
3. Ensure any Ad-Blockers are Disabled
You should also make sure that you are not using a private/incognito window. We would recommend disabling any other third-party add-ons.
4. Clear your Browser History and Cache
This works for a large percentage of users. Please see below for instructions:
Google Chrome: Clear Cache
Microsoft Edge: Clear History
Apple Safari: Clear History
Mozilla Firefox: Clear History / Clear Cache
5. Try Using a Different Browser or on a Phone
Alternative browsers include Firefox and Chrome. You can use Blackboard's iOS app or Android app. On both apps, the organisation is called 'Church of England'. For more information, see: using Blackboard on a mobile device.
6. Check this is not being blocked by your network
This is a common issue if you are accessing the content from work. The easiest way to check this is to attempt the TEACH on your home network or mobile device. If it works at home, you know this is an issue with your school network. You can speak to your IT team about unblocking Blackboard on your school network.
The following should be whitelisted by your IT department to allow access to Blackboard:
35.157.47.202
35.156.249.23
18.184.163.100

7. Seek further support
If the TEACH is still not working for you, please email EduTech@churchofengland.org and we can check that this is not an issue with your course. Please tell us which TEACH isn't working, which troubleshooting steps you have tried already and include a screenshot if possible.
You can also contact your Delivery Partner for the TEACH Summary, which contains the same content as the Interactive TEACH.
